Usually a company will actually purchase the property and sell off certain slices in time to people who want to buy. So, you may be wondering if timeshares are the right choice for you. Well, let’s take a look at the history behind them and a few tips to remember if you do decide to consider a timeshare.
History Behind a Timeshare
Timeshares date back all the way back to the 1960’s when a man up in the French Alps at a ski resort decided to have guests actually buy part of the hotel instead of actually renting rooms from the hotel. Soon the idea caught on and many people since then have bought into the idea. Over time it has become more and more popular in popular vacation areas and timeshares are commonly used today.
